Goals:

Our short-term goal is to equip individuals and families with the support and skills for self-sufficient living by addressing their educatioal, vocational, spiritual, and emotional needs in residential and non-residential settings.

Our long-term goal is to help break the cycle of homelessness and assistance dependency.  Our program is designed to help individuals discover their dignity, self-worth, and God-given potential.  Individualized programming helps each person develop self-esteem, self-sufficiency, self-confidence, self-respect, and ultimately independence and family stability.

Programming:

Individual case management is promoted to assist an individual or family achieve their fullest potential while working towards their primary goal of obtaining sustainable housing.

New Hope Center of Paris is a referral agency.  We link individuals and families with resources already available in our community.

Each person who participates in the program is seeking employment, working, or volunteering.  Thousands of volunteer hours are put into the community each year by residents who would have no place to go if it were not for the community that supports them.

New Hope Center of Paris conducts drug testing and criminal background checks at intake.  Random drug testing is completed as individuals participate in the program.  We promote a sober living environment as well as overall safety.

The shelter is self-maintained.  All those who reside here have chores like cleaning and general maintenance of the shelter - as any household would.  Members of the shelter also cook and prepare meals.

In the event New Hope Center of Paris is unable to provide shelter, please do not let that stop you from seeking assistance.  We are here to help you to locate other shelter or services to meet your needs.  Here at New Hope Center, each person is important and deserves opportunity for help.
